Given that all courses are recorded and posted on Canvas, the student is excused from a course when on rotation; however, the student is responsible for obtaining any educational information they have missed.
It is important to know that students are expected to attend class on a day when an examination is given.
Students should let the rotation coordinator/resident/course director for the rotation know that they have an exam and will not attend the rotation that day. Prior to starting the weeklong rotations, the student should ensure all “in process” patients’ treatment has been completed. If this is not possible, the student should meet with their GPD to find an alternative to completing all “in process” treatment for continuity of care of their patients.
The orientation schedule and the weekdays/times in which the student is obligated to attend the rotation is posted on the semester schedules located on OUCOD’s website.
